Website Build Process Explained
Waterfall development process
Creative Brief/Onboarding Call
The purpose of the Creative Brief/Onboarding Call is to understand your goals and expectations for the project, so that we can provide the best possible service. This will help us get a clear idea of what you are looking for, and ensure that we are able to deliver a high-quality result that meets your needs.
Template Design Approval
We'll create a website design template based on your input, giving you a visual representation of the new site's look and feel. You can provide feedback for adjustments to meet your needs.
Website Build
Once the template design is approved, our team will build the rest of the website using the gathered content, images, and instructions. We'll do our best to fill in the blanks, and during the two revision phases, you'll have the opportunity to correct any content on the site. Our goal is to efficiently deliver a high-quality website that meets your needs and expectations.
Revision Round 1
After completing the website, we'll submit it to you for the first round of revisions. This is your opportunity to request changes or adjustments to the content, pages, and features. To ensure efficiency, please group all desired changes in this round, as making a few changes at a time can slow down progress. We can't make unlimited small adjustments, so please consider that. Additionally, let's address any new features not included in the contract now, as they may require extra time and effort, with a separate quote provided.
Revision Round 2
Once the changes from the first revision round are completed, we'll have one final round to review and make any necessary final adjustments. This round focuses on cleanup and ensuring that all changes have been addressed, rather than adding new elements.
Pay/Launch
Once these adjustments are completed, the build portion of the project will be considered complete, and we will collect any outstanding payment for the site build. We'll then use the provided information to launch the site and get it online. If this information was not provided, payment for the site build is still required, and we'll schedule a date for monthly services to begin. We'll assist with providing the necessary information for the site launch, but please be aware that we cannot actively chase you for this information. If the agreed-upon date for monthly services passes, the monthly service charge will still apply, and we'll make monthly service updates to the site we have access to. To ensure a smooth launch, it's important that we have access to the domain. Additional changes beyond this point will require additional time and effort, which will need to be compensated for accordingly.
Optimizing Site For Services
After the website has been launched, there are a number of services that we will add and optimize in order to improve its performance and visibility. These may include submitting the site to search engines, setting up reporting and monitoring tools, and implementing other optimizations as needed. The goal of these optimizations is to ensure that the site is able to effectively reach its target audience and provide an optimal user experience.
Support Phase
After the website is launched, please direct any further communication regarding the site to our support line at Support@agiledev.org. Our dedicated support team will promptly address any questions or concerns, allowing our developers to focus on their new assignments. While your developer may assist with some inquiries or changes, it is important to forward all requests to Support@agiledev.org for visibility to our entire support staff. Please allow up to 24 business hours for a response, and note that response times may be longer during weekends, although we do have staff checking for emergencies on the email.
Monthly Changes
For monthly changes to the website, please submit your requests within 3 business days of being charged for these services. This allows us enough time to schedule staff and prioritize their workload. Requests submitted after the deadline may be accommodated in the following month's batch of changes.
Work orders outside of the 3 business day period
For change requests submitted outside the 3 business day window after your monthly charge, we will offer the option to include them in the next month's updates or provide a separate quote. This allows flexibility while ensuring sufficient time for accommodating requests. Please be aware that requesting updates outside the normal batch may incur additional fees.
